CakePHP enters the Market!
About 6 months ago, I learned about the Buzz Game on Yahoo! Research. The game looks at what is and will be hot in the world of technology. Much like the stock market if you feel strongly about the future of Digg or Tecnorati you can buy shares. You earn based on the the buzz created during the time you own the shares and the movements of the shares based on users in the market.
When I joined, there were fewer markets and all PHP web apps were lumped into one place. Well, times are changin and now there is a whole market dedicated to frameworks. And guess who the represents the PHP camp? Well, of course I am refering to CakePHP. Check out the CakePHP ticker. Currently, CakePHP is the only PHP framework in the Web Frameworks market. CakePHP ranks 2nd in share price, behind Rails, but ahead of Django, Turbogears.
Anyway, its pretty cool to have a place in the Market. Let's just keep things going so that we can stay there.
